He is the Executive Director of the 4^th Council of the China Hospital Association,Vice Chairman of Medical Quality Professional Committee of China Hospital Association, Vice Chairman of Medical Legal Professional Committee of China Hospital Association, Vice Chairman of Health Care Quality Accreditation Professional Committee of China Hospital Association, Chairman of Medical Legal Professional Committee of Hubei Provincial Hospital Association, Standing Member of Hepatology Branch of Hubei Medical Association, and Vice Chairman of Wuhan Hospital Association.

He is specialized in clinical and basic research of digestive tract diseases. He is good at the diagnosis and treatment of common digestive tract diseases, digestive endoscopy, and diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal motility disorders. He has presided over a number of sub-projects of the National Key Research and Development Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and provincial key projects; he is the chief editor of two monographs and associate editor of three monographs, and is the digital chief editor of Physician-Patient Communication, one of the 10th round of planning textbooks for the five-year medical undergraduates. He was awarded the First Prize of the Hospital Science and Technology Innovation Award of the China Hospital Association, and the Second Prize of the Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Progress.
