Yan Jiangtao is the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

He is a CPC member, M.D., Ph.D., chief physician, and doctoral supervisor. He serves as a member of the Chinese Medical Association's Clinical Epidemiology and Evidence-Based Medicine Branch, Vice Chairman of the Internal Medicine Branch of the Hubei Medical Association, and Vice Chairman of the Chronic Disease Management Committee of the Wuhan Hospital Association.

He has long been engaged in clinical, teaching, and research in the field of cardiology. From 2010 to 2011, he studied interventional cardiology techniques at the Heart Center of Leipzig University in Germany. He has rich clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and specializes in interventional diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for cardiovascular diseases, as well as multidisciplinary comprehensive treatment for critically ill patients. In 2014, he was selected into the Wuhan Middle-aged and Young Medical Backbone Talent Training Program. He has successively presided over three National Natural Science Foundation projects and two Hubei Provincial Fund projects, and has published dozens of SCI papers.
