Yao Jihua, Vice President of Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

He is a member of the Communist Party of China, a Chief Physician of Cardiovascular Specialty for the Elderly.

He has been engaged in cardiovascular clinical work for more than three decades. He is well recognized for his capability of routine diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases for the elderly and acute/critical/severe cardiovascular diseases. He visited Germany as a visiting scholar to study and practice intervention therapy for coronary heart disease and pacemaker implantation and other techniques. He has presided over a number of projects, including Wuhan Science and Technology Plan Project, Key Science and Technology Research Project and Hubei Natural Science Foundation Project, and participated in several projects under National Natural Science Foundation of China. He published more than 10 academic papers.

He is currently the Vice President of Hubei Health Management Association, Director of Wuhan Geriatrics Association and a member of Hubei Geriatrics Association.
