Chen Gang is a member of CPC Standing Committee and Vice President of Tongji Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.

He is a CPC member, M.D., Ph.D., second-tier professor, chief physician, and doctoral supervisor. He is a standing committee member of the Gynecological Oncology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, a standing committee member of the Uterine Corpus Tumor Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, and the director of the Gynecological Oncology Branch of the Hubei Medical Association.

He has been engaged in clinical, research, and teaching in gynecological oncology for over two decades, specializing in the standardized diagnosis and treatment of gynecological malignancies. He is a recipient of the National High-Level Talent Program and the PI of a National Key Research and Development Program. He has presided over multiple National Natural Science Foundation projects. As the first-completing author, he has won the first prize of the Hubei Science and Technology Progress Award and the first prize of the National Science and Technology Award in Maternal and Child Health. In the past five years, he has published more than 30 papers as corresponding author in journals such as Nature Genetics, Cell Genomics, Journal of Experimental Medicine, Nature Communications, and Cancer Research.
