On April 28th, Dr.Franklin R.Tay, Chairman of Department of Endodontics, College of Dental Medicine, Georgia Health Sciences University, was appointed as Visiting Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The ceremony was held in the Administrative Building and over 150 participants attended the ceremony including vice-President of Tongji Hospital Hua WU,the faculty, postgraduates and foreign students from Stomatology Department.

After the appointing ceremony, Dr. Tay held a speech with a theme of Future Developments in Dentin Bonding, explaining the new research development in dental bonding to the audience at present.

Dr. Tay is the Director of Postgraduate Endodontics, Department of Endodontics, College of Dental Medicine, Georgia Health Sciences University, Chairman of Department of Endodontics, College of Dental Medicine, Georgia Health Sciences University, Honorary Professor of Faculty of Dentistry, University of Hong Kong, Visiting Professor of Guanghua School of Stomatology,Sun Yat-sen University. Professor Tay now takes the offices of Associate Editors of Journal of dentistry,Journal of Endodontics, Journal of Dental Biomechanics. Up till now, Professor Tay has published over 400 papers in Angewandte Chemie, Adv Mater, Biomaterials, J Dent Res and so on.
