On August 4, the 2021 Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics (STEM) of China's Medical Colleges and Hospitals and the Accumulative Science and Technology Evaluation Metrics (ASTEM) were released. Tongji Hospital, affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, ranked 4th in China and 1st in Central South China in both metrics. Tongji Hospital had 13 specialties come to the top 10, among which urology and lemology took 3rd place, while gynecology and obstetrics and nursing occupied 4th place across the country.
